Myths and Misconceptions

With the age of computers came a whole new way for dishonest people to run scams.  The dog world is no different than any other avenue for people to proclaim "RARE BREED"  "RARE COLORS"  "RARE BLUE EYES" "MINIATURE BULLDOG" when in reality they are nothing more than bad breedings.

In the BCA Bulldog Standard there is only one disqualification and that is a dog with a "dudley nose".  A dudley nose refers to the pigment color which the standard is very clear on, "any nose other than black is objectionable and a brown or liver-colored nose shall disqualify".  Likewise the notion that "chocolate is a rare color is yet but another fault and direct result of poor breeding practices.  Here the standard is very specific also, " the various colors found in the breed are to be preferred in the following order 1) red brindle, 2) all other brindles, 3) solid white, 4) solid red, fawn or fallow, 5)piebald, 6)inferior qualities of all the foregoing.  Solid black is very undesireable."  And yes so called rare qualities such as chocolate color or blue eyes are rare, however they are not desireable qualities for a true Bulldog and a result of poor breeding practices.

Don't be fooled or duped into believeing that you are getting a "RARE" anything if it is not in the Bulldog Standard IT IS WRONG.
If it is not a color in the standard, have black noses and dark eyes it is not CORRECT.

We take pride in the fact that our relationship with you does not end when you take home a puppy from us. As a family of conscientious hobby breeders, experienced puppy counselors, and die-hard puppy lovers, we'd like to believe nothing can ever go wrong with our puppies. However, certain things are never in our control. A puppy's health is dependent on a lot of factors like genetics, exercise, food & nourishment and overall care. If, and when something does go wrong, we always strive to help. While we may not be able to guarantee that your puppy will never have a health problem, we guarantee that we will do our best to ensure your new family member is a healthy one!

It starts with exceptional breedings we choose our breedings very carefully, we thoroughly screen our dogs for breedings and only associate with those who adhere to the BCA and BCD Code of Ethics.   We provide all our buyers with a comprehensive health evaluation report that has been carefully created by our veterinarian and ourselves with the express purpose of providing you with all the knowledge you need to take your new baby home.   We also ensure our puppies are up to date with vaccinations, have been de-wormed, microchipped and vet checked before they leave our care.    Finally as an additional check, we ask that you take your new puppy to a licensed veterinarian within 2 weeks after you receive him/her so we can be sure that your  puppy is a happy, healthy one.
